Our Carnival King and Queen candidates were Dennis Delzer and Cathy Rasmussen. We gave the annual Sophomore Hop on October 24, 1958. The music was furnished by KNEW disc jockey Bob Hough. Bud Green was able to out spell all the Spangle High School student body at a Spelling Bee to determine who would represent our school in the Northwest finals held in Spokane, April 9th and 10th. A combination of South Sea and Far Orient decorations was used. The Paul Greco Quartet furnished the music. The highlight of our first year in high school was initiation. We were proud to be high school students. We held our Freshman Return Party on November 14, 1958 in honor of the upperclassmen.
