CM? 1 IDN lBXf.a I I Illlll X 'SIRI '-n IST ROW: Monty Zehm, Claudia Grunewald, Joanne Green, Eileen Scott, Bert Smith. ZND ROW: Nancy Schieche, Nora Knuth, Rosemarie Hart, Dorothy DeGon. Cwelve years Zfagethcr On September G, 1955, 16 slightly green, but confident Fresh entered the halls of our illustrious school. The wheels of progress were immediately set into motion by the election of Tom Ray, Bert Smith, and Lana Tuttle as President, Vice President and Secretary -Treasurer of our class. Mr. Drummond was our Freshman class advisor. We chose as our class motto, The greater the difficulty, the greater the glory , class flower, white carnationg and class colors, pink and green. Initiation was held on September 30 making us full fledged members of S, H. S. Our Sophomore year saw us with a loss and a gain of 3 classmates. Our class Carnival King and Queen candidates, Monty Zehm and Rosemarie Hart were crowned as King and Queen of the annual S, H, Carnival on October 13, 1956. A loss of 2 members brought our membership down to 14 at the beginning of our Jtuiior year. On April 18, the Junior and Senior classes staged a play, Onions in the Stew . Our Junior Prom held on May 16, was a huge success.. The gym was decorated to the theme of My Blue Heaven. The Dutch Groshoif Orchestra furnished the music. As mighty Seniors, we began the 1958-1959 school term with 13 seniors, and Mr. Lindgren as our advisor. The production of the annual Huskie was our major project. The Senior Ball, Junior and Senior Play, Sneak, Baccalaureate, Commencement and numerous other activities, as well as our studies, all served tu make this year a very busy, but exciting period in our lives.
