We, the Senior class, have one last request: That the typewriter used for the production of this book be given back to Mrs. Leistner in hopes that she will junk it! I0 Ili tory On September 8, 1953, seven unsuspecting frosh entered the ,hollowed halls of learning, better known to all of us as Spangle High. With Mr. Limbert as our class advisor, Gordon Ice as President, Julie Drummond as Vice-President, Alice Jeanne Young as Secretary and Treasurer, and Louise Harrington as Reporter, we chose our Motto- We build for character not for fame , our flower, the rosep and our colors, rose and white. We were officially initiated into high school and returned the favor by staging a Freshman Return Party. Our second year of high school saw our class reduced to six members, with Mrs. Moritz as our advisor. We gave a Sophomore Hop with Sammie Massuto supplying the music . As upperclassmen, we began our third year with Mrs. Moritz again chosen as class advisor and our class increased to seven members by the entrance of Don Rhoades The Carnival crowd saw the junior King and Queen candidates, Alice Jeanne Young and Don Rhoades crowned as King and Queen of the 1955 Carnival. In the spring of 1956 Mrs. Moritz died from a prolonged illness and Mrs. Walsh succeeded her as our advisor because no one else was available. Spring activities included the Spring Concert, the Pancake feed, the Lettermen's Banquet and the Junior Prom. As mighty Seniors, we began the 1956-57 school term with Mr. Cochrane as our advisor and Bill Hill as a new classmate. The organization and production of the annual was our maior proiect along with the usual round of activities, which were increased this last year by our Senior Sneak and Graduation followed by a loud and long Hurrah from all harried parents and teachers! fond Seniorsll TWELVE YEARS TOGETHER L o U i J S o h e n H 0 H r o r I i F n I 9 FI , 9 0 I1 11 3 3 , 2 , rp .:.,,.. .
