It just so happened that at that time thirteen bright and unsus- pecting little Freshmen were born into the world of higher education. We were progressing very nicely when one day somebody stole our rose-colored glasses. The dreaded thing about which we had heard so much but thought could never happen to us descended upon us with all the grace of a falling piano. Initiation day! We all did survive, but not mentioning in what condition. So we were now no longer considered green , but just Frosh . Our Sophomore year proceeded very quietly. We did feel greatly relieved and also just a little bit sorry for ITE incoming Frosh. We knew what they were in for, even if they didn't. We sold candy and gave a Sophomore Hop and both were successes. Our adviser for the past two years had been Mrs. Effie DeZonia, and our class felt that they had the best adviser in school. We found her to be an ex- cellent adviser, and more than that, a wonderful friend. When we returned to school in September of f'49 , we were proud and happy to be part of the 'fupper-class . First on our list of important agenda to dispose of was Fresh man Initiation, and we did our best to dispose of them, too. They were a grand group of kids, and have really helped our high school. Our Prom came next, and we really did ourselves proud. We had to out-do the Seniors, and if you remember, you know Gif we did. The production of our play, 'fThe Wild Oats Boy , came next on our list, and though we were never sure of the success of it, we know that we enjoyed every minute of practice. Now the time every young man and woman anticipates and dreams of has finally arrived We are now high and mighty Seniors, the ones to be looked up to, as we have looked up to the now-graduated Seniors in the years pro- ceeding us. But now we find that we are not so high and mighty. We find ourselves remembering when we were 'fgreen Freshmen and how scared we were. We sudden- ly don't feel grown and educated and Seniorish . We re- call the grade-school days, and all the arguments and en- joyment we have had that made our friendships all the more strong and it suddenly dawns on us that we will miss this For as most of you already know these will be the best years of our lives Beth Carte r iff MARLIN C. She is greatly upset because her favorite niece, Pamela Marsh, has announced her intentions of marrying young Mervin Tucker and spending part of their honeymoon at the Aunt Tillie's residence, Mervin arrives suddenly, depositing his suitcase in Aunt Tillie's living room, and then goes out looking for his friend, Ronald Howland. Aunt Tillie departs for town, taking Mervin's suitcase and leaving her own. Ronald arrives looking for Mervin. The latter has decided to take a swim and when he comes back to Aunt Tillie's he is wearing a wooden barrel. All his clothes had been stolen. Mervin, in order that no one see him, hides behind the sereen and has to don the female attire. Mervin comes out from behind the screen in female attire and is presented as Aunt Tillie. Aunt Tillie returns from town garbed in a suit belonging to Mervin. With Aunt Tillie in male attire, and with Mervin in female attire, more complications are added by the arrival of Mervin's Aunt, Mrs. Tillie Tucker. Miss Tillie Trask Lucinda Talbot . . . . .
