Approximately two weeks later the Juniors took over and initi- ated for two days. The first day the girls were dressed to give the impres- sion of Farmer Brown and the boys as their wives. The second day the class was dressed as Hawaiians, and that night we got the works. A few days later we gave the Return Party in honor of the Juniors. On the last day of school our class celebrated by taking in shows or going to Liberty Lake. We were all looking forward to our Sophomore year. In September, 1945, we came to school with new ambitions and hopes for the coming year. The first event that took place was the Hallowe'en party which we sponsored. Wilma Sliesner, Velma Hill, Betty Foote and Dorothy Raugust took part in the Radio Program given in December. We also gave a Sophomore Hop which proved to be very successful In May there was a Band Concert in the Masonic Temple ln Spokane The followin particl ated Bobby Hall, Velma Hill. Wilma Bliesner, Ila Byers, Margaret arratt, etty Foote, and Dorothy Raugust The last day was spent at various resorts We started our Junior year in 1944, feeling quite important because we were re arded as upper classmen The first thing of importance was lnitia tion e tried our best to make it hard, as the memories of our initiation were still in our minds A few days afterwards the Freshmen gave a Return Party for us The next event was the Junior play, 'Miss Jimmy It was a three act comedy Our advisor for this play was Mrs Leistner Some of the class took part in the All High play, 'Bells in Waiting' It was also a three act comedy The Junior girls in Home Ec C Velma, Margaret, Wilma, and Dorothy I helped in decorating and preparing for the Basketball Banquet On April 20, ection of Mr Junior girls last part of crepe aper ners ere the school gave a Band Concert here in Spangle under the dir L C Lotzenhiser The whole class took part in lt Th that were ln Glee Club took part in the Radio Program given the April In May we gave the Junior Prom Fur boughs and white furnished the false ceiling and covered the arches ln the cor was also a wishing well ln the center of the gym This fol lcwed our theme 'Wishing ' The entlre Junior Class formally escorted the Senior Clase of 1945 to their graduation platform We ended the year by going to Natitorium Park The fall of '45 found us as high and mighty Seniors We were now counting the days until graduation 1180 of 'emi The 1946 Seniors were re sponsible for the followln booths at the Carnival held in the fall of 1945 Betty Foote Hot Dogs Ila yers and Margaret Garrett Ring Toss, Velma Hill Door Prize, Wilma Bllesner Queen Booth, Dorothy Raugust 7 Up Jimmie Corn messer and Don Fry Duok Throw, Bobby Hall Baseball Throw There was a big .:,3:,:5.3:':5: :3:3'5:i.::::E:f:f:3:EfE2E -Iliff i Q0 ' sf' 'N ' n - ' ' 22f?Efffs5'23Ef5ffE5,5555E?iiiE535?5555E555if5i55555?iif5lfgf 1 - - - - A-:,.,s?: ' . ' sr prize from each booth and a beautiful blanket as a Door Prize On November second the Senior Glass gave a Barn Dance' Decorations were made up of bales of hay for chairs and benches, and harness was hanging on the wall e 'Melody Girls' furnished us with delightful music In January the enlor Class received their pictures and announcements, making graduation seem much closer Our Senior year found us busily working on Annuals and all other work needed to graduate February 9th was the Radio Program for 1946 Three Senior girls took part in the singing and Wilma Bliesner gave a reading Instead of the usual play given by the Seniors they gave a Musical Stunt The Senior Class turned out to be BIG Sneakers We won't tell just how, where, or when' Betty Foote Dorothy Raugust QFQQWEQQ 6 60 ee gf, Qisfy , 'QZOQ--' 10' Q.
