Not many people try to find out about San Francisco's background, but it is an exciting and inter- esting one. During a period of several years, the city grew from a small gold mining town to a large and fascinating city. The great Earthquake and Fire of 1906 almost com- pletely destroyed the city, but San Fran- cisco was rebuilt by its citizens. sexism- M, , Today, San Franciscois the home ofpeople from different races, religions and cul- tures. They are the wealthy and poor alike. Its parks and streets are covered with monuments that mark important events in the history of San Francisco. Because of its location, San Francisco is a world trade center. San Francisco is now considered one of the most popular, beautiful and unique cities in the World. The staff hopes you enjoy this year's SAVAGE as weview the city of St. Francis. f A ,fuk I , A 4.
