ClMcktd — Ring out the Old; Bfm§ ooi] ®(§ M bw Several startling but welcome changes came to the Southwood campus. Just in time for bas¬ ketball season, workers labored to complete die wooden gym floor. Christmas came early for Spurs and band members when new uniforms debuted in their performances. It’s about time, but it was worth the wait, said Austin Biel. Teachers noticed a slight raise in their paychecks; however, most craved a larger bonus. An ad¬ ministration change resulted in a new principal coordinating school business and a new assistant principal managing discipline. These changes proved that improvements are a cinch at Southwood. Pay raises funded by the state give Ms. Sue Blacet an op¬ portunity to boost her checking account balance. Masking tape supplied by Chris StanseLl, Steve Burrows, and Clay Davis begins the artwork for the new gym floor. New uniforms perfectly fit Michelle Thomas, Jill Shannon, Marty Young, Ross Hickman, Mark Morton, Warren Hovis, Eric Rainwater, and James Hawkins.
