Captain Beth Brannon was the winner of the Drill Down, and along with Dana Brossett. was chosen as a Superstar Girl over all the camp. SOUTHWOOD CHEERLEADERS KEPT COWBOY SPIRIT UP The Crazy Eight began early in the summer representing the Cowboys at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where they attended a cheerleading camp. The cheerlea’ders were awarded the spirit stick, and won one Excellent and five Superiors in their competition. Southwood’s mascot, Brad Bates, attended this camp with the cheerleaders; and they were awarded the “Super Squad Ribbon.”
