Change — The Realization of Ourselves Change — as powerful as the tides of time — rolling in and out, altering the world slightly with every wave, creating an irreversible differ¬ ence. Echoes creating moments that cannot be captured in time; slowly at first, then faster — the reaching of all corners of eternity by the smallest sound of silence, in sadness and in joy. The end of one day; the beginning of the next day; the renewal of life through change. All things come from change. Change is the foundation of life, it gives substance to dreams and shape to hopes . Change is the only tool we taveto mold the future. Wisdom and ingenuity are our guides, but it is change that does the ork. Events — occurrences that r shaped our lives. The school r year was full of change, but tradi¬ tion also remained. The football team fpushed its way into the play-offs as the Undisputed district champions. Arch-riva l Woodlawn was defeated and a 54-0 victory made Homecoming a real success with Queen Valerie Bantle looking on. Pep rallies, post¬ ers, victory dances, car decorating contests, and mystery cowboys all added to the excite¬ ment. The baseball team won the district title. Football player B. I. Childers and cheer¬ leader Diane Manning were chosen as Mr. and Miss Southwood. Honors, awards, k commendations, and scholarships re¬ minded us of our purpose and our abilities.
