The modern point of view reiects the notion of mind-body dualism and supports the belief that organized education aims at the development of all aspects of the student: social, emotional, physical, moral, spiritual, and in- tellectual. If we can more fully develop the entire student, we can better prepare this person for active participation as a well balanced citizen who will accept and fulfill his responsibilities in our society.
