We appreciate all their efforts to make us better citizens and to prepare us for the future. We would especially like to recog- nize two outstanding teachers, Mrs. Snyder and Mr. Humbert. Mrs. Snyder has helped many college-bound seniors make their final prepara- tions for college in the English field. In many cases Southwood seniors have had little or no trouble with college English. Also, we would like to express our sincere thanks for all her hard work as a director ,of our school plays and as a stu- dent council sponsor. ln the science field, we wish to acknowledge Mr. Humbert. Through his efforts many students have become acquainted with the world of science. Mr. Humbert has spent many hours iust for the benefit of the students. Last year he worked very hard and received little credit as our school paper sponsor. He has also been science club sponsor. 3.9! ...li 4 ..-. N N '5 .A AA M , -Q N K I AA-Q 'X I 1 Left to right-MR. The modern point of view reiects the notion of mind-body dualism and supports the belief that organized education aims at the development of all aspects of the student: social, emotional, physical, moral, spiritual, and in- tellectual. If we can more fully develop the entire student, we can better prepare this person for active participation as a well balanced citizen who will accept and fulfill his responsibilities in our society. This is our goal at Southwood. WM 0 'Q A lowviw MR. BYRON BUNKER MR.
