Cou pu ) Martin Ruter Hall was erected in 1955 in honor of Martin Ruter, pioneer Methodist missionary and educator. Funds for the building were provided by the Central Texas, Southwest Texas, and Texas Conferences of the United Methodist Church. The Field House houses the Student Development Center which includes offices for health education, career development, personal counseling and testing. The Sid Richardson Physical Education Center, dedicated September 25, 1976, was made possible through a gift from the Sid W. Richardson Foundation of Fort Worth. McCullough Hall was made possible through a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Marvin McCollough of Fort Worth. Located on the east wing of McCollough Hall is Laura Kuykendall Hall. It is a women ' s residence hall erected in 1926 and completed remodeled and air conditioned in 1967. It is named in honor of the late Laura Kuykendall, for many years dean of women of the University. Directly east of this hall is Kurth Residence Hall for women. It was completed in 1962 and named in honor of the late Mr. E. L. Kurth, and alumnus, benefactor, and long time trustee of the University. 24 Campus
