The Southwestern University campus is a world in microcosm. Students, if they want, can meet the same challenges and opportunities as they will be meeting when they take their places in society. Serious study, religious and moral decisions, or just having fun together ... all prepare the student for the interaction with others, establishing and cementing relationships which will prove of value not only in the present decade but in the years to come.

Southwestern is a special place in that the shaping of the character of the new decade can occur in as prosaic an event as an exchange of ideas over a meal in the Commons, a heated discussion in the classroom, or in activity as a member of a campus organization.
