SHAMROCK OUT, SAGA Students came back from Spring Break to discover a notice that told of a change in food services. The first question most students wanted to know was whether it would provide better food or not. Rumors flew around campus about changes. As it turned out, Shamrock asked to leave because it was operating at a loss with no apparent turnaround in sight. Saga agreed to step in at once and began operation when students returned from Spring Break. In an effort to economize, Saga produced food that many students referred to as mystery meals . Students also complained about smaller portions served. By the end of the year, however, food became more recognizable and larger portions were served. Most decided that it was a change for the better.
