Thorughout the year there are dances, pep rallies, movies, guest speakers, receptions, and banquets. This year the SUB successfully sponsored several special events including a Hootenanny; the all-school seated Christmas Dinner; a musical re- view and satire on life at Southwestern, That Was The School That Was; and na- tionally known poet, John Ciardi. The Directorate of the Union are the President, Fred Kandeler; Vice-President, Marcella Wichman; Secretary, Polly Bohmfalk; and Megaphone Correspondent, Georgia Ann Wynne. Also included are the chairmen of the various Union Committees who are: Publicity, Judy Ledbetter and Karen McDonald; Dance, Skipper Shaw and Carolyn King; Hospitality, Diana Mendenhall and Becky Mays; Special Events, Lynn Robinson and Lanny Naegelin.
