DEDICATION Dr. Hares devotes much of his time to gardening, his hobby. For his interest in the ideals and the aims of South- western University, the Sou ' Wester staff proudly dedicates the 1959 yearbook to Dr. James Hares. Dr. Hares, a member of the Religion and Philosophy department since 1951, represents well the integrity of his profession. To the students, he presents stim- ulating, intellectual challenges. It is with sincere admiration that the staff, speaking for the entire administration and the student body, wishes Dr. Hares success in his new position at High- land Park Methodist Church, Dallas, Texas. Besides teaching, Dr. Hares also offers personal guidance and help to his students.

Although they are vivid today, we, the annual staff, hope that the 1959 Sou ' Wester will make tomorrow ' s memories only pictures of today. PATTIE CLARE
