Student Christian Association The Student Christian Association is an organization designed specifically to co-ordinate the religious and other activities on the campus. It consists of the entire student body; certain persons are elected in a school- wide election to take charge of the functioning of the organization. The Student Christian Association Council is the name given to this body of officers. The Student Senate The Student Senate is composed of the officers of the Student Association and several representatives of each class elected in the spring of the year. Active membership shall include only men who have completed two full years of college work and are of good character and personality, recoqnized as leaders in scholarship and college activities, and who shall have maintained for the next preceding semester or for their cumulative average, an average above all men ' s average of the institution. The organization has a three fold purpose: 1 The belief in God will be perpetuated and intensified, the government of the United States will be supported and defended, and the established institutions of society and the principles of good citizenship will be preserved. 2. An ambition for intellectual attainment and a desire to serve colleae and fellows will be fostered among students in institutions of higher learning. 3 Student problems may be studied, student life may be enriched, and the arogress and best interests of the institutions in which the organization is found may be stimulated and promoted Kneeling: Albert Sanders, Dick Werner, Joe Bert Sissom, Frank Douglass, Billy Dipple.
