W. U., 1905. J. Sam Barcus, A.M., Bible. Born, 1865. A.M. U., and it is claimed that he is the Senior Professor of Texas, holding a Professorship, longer than any man in Texas; Secretary of Faculty, Chairman of Faculty, President of Annex, and Manager of Giddings Hall at different times; Dean of the Sum- mer Schools. College of Texas; Principal Public School at Columbus, Texas, for nine years; Superin- tendent city schools at Temple, Texas, three years; now Instructor in History, S. W. U. Fitting School. Frank E.
