In this, I am joined by Mrs. Murray, a proud alumnus and former member oi the faculty at your fine college. Every student and former student has a great deal to look backward on with pride during this, Southwestern State's 50th anniversary year. Southwestern graduates have always contributed greatly to the well-being of our state and nation, just as you students of today will also do. It is on you we depend for the leadership Oklahoma must have if our state is to progress to the limit of its capabilities. Fifty years of a fine tradition, coupled with the best educational training available, is ample assurance you will live up to our best expec- tations.
