But no matter what changes it undergoes or what problems it must deal with, Cypress Lake is always one of the most beautiful spots on our campus, and we love it. Each year pictures of it go into this yearbook and into the school paper. And each year it is different. And, if possible, each year it is more beautiful - just like USL. Probably no one at the school can say they like everything that happens at USL. It has its faults and its problems as everything does. But when it comes right down to it, there's a lot of pride in USL from the people who live, work, study and play here. We love it for its good points and despise its faults. And we're proud to help it through its changes as it helps us through ours. Many of the changes USL and its students have undergone this year are reflected in this book. We hope you'll recognize these changes, and will enjoy comparing them to the changes that will occur in the years to come. And just as this picture has captured the singular beauty of Cypress Lake, we hope this book has captured the uniqueness and happy memories of USL during the spring and fall semesters of 1982.
