my ta., A large number of our students live off campus and they too have parking problems. The shuttle busses that run from Cajun Field to campus service thousands of people each day. Students are let off and picked up at the Guaranty Bank commuter stop and also across the street from H. L. Griffin Hall, on the corner of Rex and Lewis Sts. As you can see here, there are also a large number of two-wheeled vehicles on campus as well. Well, it is nice to know that somebody is trying to help out with our parking problems by trying out a new idea - cycle-pooling. Between the three of them there is only vw' one vehicle to park, and a small one at that. Still, somehow the local and campus police might object to their unlawful ingenuity. 55 Jah One thing that students find out quickly after coming to school here is that our campus has a big parking problem. The number of students with vehicles continues to increase much faster than do the number of available spaces for them to park. Finding a ticket on your car may not surprise you - students double and triple park park between the signs and in other no parking zones daily. We are reminding you to please remember what a number of tickets can lead to - immobilization of your vehicle, which is more expensive than if you would have paid for all of your tickets, possibly getting your car towed off of, or barred from campus. People who violate other traffic laws also get caught on our campus. Walking: Of course, you can always walk to class: Every day thousands of students can be seen walking across our campus to go to their classes, and many of these people walked here from their off-campus residences. With the large amount of students using our sidewalks daily, it should be to no one's surprise that they are in need of repair. Many students walking across our campus do so with the fear that they will be trampled on during the rush to class.
