A New Experience How do you distinguish a freshman? Brand new books, six sharpened pencils, three different colored pens, all car- ried by a neatly dressed picture of innocence. This was the typical sight several times this year at the freshman orienta- tion sessions. In Ianuary, Iune and Iuly, incoming freshmen came to campus for the day, viewing slides of university sights and events, touring the school's buildings and learning how to fill out packets and make out schedules. In mid-August, orientation was a week-long affair, with eager students-to- be getting a taste of dorm life and night life. This activity helped to prepare the new students for their four-year adventure at U.S.L. .KN gif ? iVh: V 4 K his -.V K-, A.:-.
