Miss Dorothy Breda and Mrs. Sharon Gray bring out volleyballs for their gym class. Special Interests Through participation in physical activities, adapted to his abilities, each student increases his skill in the following areas: control of body move- ment. balance, strength, endurance, speed, flexi- bility, agility, and reaction time. These factors are essential to a neat appearance and a well co- ordinated body that moves smoothly. Each ac- tivity offered has specific value in assisting every student to achieve his maximum in health, physi- cal efficiency, and personal safety. Each student will gain in direct proportion to the amount of interest, effort, and energy he puts forth. Modern vocational classes such as auto shop, machine shop, woodworking, architectural draw- ing, drafting, and printing are offered to students at Southwestern. Students are trained not only for a future job but for practical use in the home as well. The homemaking classes are also proud to turn out many potential home economists and future homemakers of America. Mr. George LeBrasseur, Mr. Frank Mazza, and Mr. Tom Jobson read the game rules for girls' soccer. Mr. Jobson is the Varsity football coach.
