Students Gain Work Experience P.C.P., the Personalized Curriculum Pro- gram, was organized in 1962 to encourage stu- dents to remain in school and graduate. This is done primarily by three means: small classes, personal attention, and work experience. Approximately 5% of the student body, 120 students, are enrolled in the P.C.P. program. Classes which include English, math, and social studies are in a 15 to I, student-teacher ratio. This makes it possible for the teachers to know the students better and give them more individual attention. Students spend four hours in class and four hours working at local business places. They earn wages and gain working experience. If a student is doing satisfactorily in this class and on this curriculum he may switch to some other program. Mr. Edward Brown, Mr. Ben Martin, and Mr. Roy Tapper! look over magazines used in P.C.P. courses. Miss Martha Todd. Mrs. Helen Murdock, and Mr. Garth Frost complete the list of P.C.P. teachers.
