“Top Brass” in the musical field are Miss Vivian Crope, Vocal Director, Mr. Raymond Roth, Band and Orchestra Director, and Mr. David Holmes, Assistant Director of Music. Promise Shown In Fine Arts Over the years South- western’s Fine Arts Depart- ment has become known throughout the state and even the nation for the fine cor- relation present here in the fine arts. Together they have produced the Montage, a show intertwining all the arts around a central theme presented each year by Southwestern students. The study of a language is a very important part of high school education. Southwestern students have a choice of taking French, Spanish, German, or Latin. Study- ing Foreign languages helps stu- dents to learn the customs and cultures of other peoples and coun- tries. An Eye For The Future Now listen here all you kids, we’re going to lay down the law, the Business Law, that is emphatically states Mr. Albert Gricius, and Mr. Gary Jacobs. The Business Curriculum is designed to develop business minded citizens who pos- sess both a liberal education and vocational competency in the business field. The course offerings in business education include bookkeeping, shorthand, office practice, retail selling and salesmanship, typing for vocational and personal use, business law, business arithmetic, andnotehand. Although basically vocational, all of these courses also have personal use value. Vocational Business Education Co-op (office) and Distributive Education Co-op (sales) are offered in the senior year. On this Co-op training program students work with employers on part-time jobs in the afternoon and receive school credit, re- muneration, and experience. “Here's the receipt for that grade you ordered 20 jokes Mr. Robert McNamara to his Retail Sales class.
