1976-1977 Swim Teams GIRLS' SWIM, Row 1, Left to right: Julie Gon- zalez, Alice Gonzalez, Angela Anderson, Terri Mathes. Row 2, Left to right: Juliana Murphy, Jean Lancendorfer, Suellen McLaughlin, Pa- tricia Lancendorfer, Kim Kovacs, Anna Sills, Mrs. Van Oast, Coach. This year’s swimming team performed very well in their division. Southwestern finished third. The team won three meets and lost two. The performance of this team is probably our best won-lost record in years. This can be attributed to the female presence on the team. Womens’ swim team was not funded and no out- side help came to their aid. The girls were invited by Coach Weber to participate with the boys’ team and look what happened. BOYS' SWIM, Row 1, Left to right: Jeff Ve- ga, Vincent Moore, Nick Kovacs, Mike Wallace, Mark Putek. Row 2, Left to right: Dwight Paw- ley, Richard Green, Clifford Kizner, Steve Ko- vacs, Julian Putek, Clayton Augustine. 28
