Since ThaT Time The FoundaTion has grown sTeadily in prominence and imporTance and presenTly sponsors The Assemblies Tor Bank DirecTors. Through I97O The Foundaiion will have sponsored nine such Assemblies: The TirsT having been held in early l968. The Assemblies are endorsed by The American Bankers AssociaTion as well as by various sTaTe associaTions and have been widely acclaimed by direcTors, senior bank oTTicers, senior level bank supervisors, and bank eclucaTors. Inside or ouTside bank direcTors, advisory direcTors and senior bank officers are inviTed To aTTend The Assemblies. Purpose of The Assemblies is mulTiTold. The direcTor is shown The many ways he can eTTecTively serve his bank, how he can besT serve as a represenTaTive of his bank in The communiTy and he is provided a beTTer undersTanding of and respecT for bank managemeni' TuncTions. Noi' only have The Assemblies been of inTeresT To exisTing direcTors buT also greaT beneTiTs have been de- rived by poTenTial direcTors in aTTendance. Apprehension on Their parT is usually dispelled com- pleTely when They are acquainTed faclrually and comprehensibly wiTh The duTies, responsibiliTies and beneTiTs ThaT will be Theirs as bank direcTors.
