What Is Pledging? What is pledging? It is fun, hard work and friendship. It is a group of people who want others to be in their group. It is people putting themselves through mild torture because they want to be closer to others. Pledging was in full bloom this spring in all the fraterni- ties and sororitiest each adding members who had the desired qualities. Some groups are big, some small, but each group isjust thatea group. Keeping the fraternity 0r sorority alive and steering it in its initial direction is a goal 1 which at first is invisible but which becomes the focal i point in the eyes of veterans eyes. i Too many cooks cannot spoil the broth of a well mean- ing group.
