Taking the reins of South- western in 1972, Dr. Donald Ruthenberg fshown at right with his secretary, Leona Glennj has brought many changes and improvements to Southwestern College. He re- signed his position this spring, however, to assume the job as President of the Iowa Associ- ation of Independent Colleges and Universities. Dr. Bob Evans has finished his first full year at S.C. He assumed the role of Academic Dean after J. Hamby Barton resigned to ac- cept a position at Scarritt College in Tennessee. Dr. Evans has com- mented that he enjoys an open- door policy in his office and looks forward to meetings with stu- dents.
