We hope we have succeeded in capturing not only the cherished moments of fun and fellowship but also the spirit of the school itself in its dedication to help us take our places l in the business and social world, well-rooted and grounded in the Word of God. Credit must be given to the work of the staff mem- bers and to the ESPRIT DE CORPS with which they have performed the many tasks incident to the publication of this annual. But most of all, the staff is indebted to the administration, the student body, the community, and the businesses of the city. Without the cooperation of everyone this book could not have been published. A X - - The Editors - f T ADVISOR BUSINESS MANAGER Mrs. R. U. Mel! The interim between two eternities is man's most preciou s possession called time. It is God's perio d of grace for man, and the disposition which he makes of it charts his eternal course. Only in academic usage do we speak of past and future time, for the 'past is gone forever and the future is yet to be. Hence, time in its true essence is the ever-present. It is the only gift to man that is consumed by receiving, and the only possession that is spent upon having. As the fleeting seconds come and go, every man's time is running out . Each heartbeat brings him nearer to the judgment of God and the eternal destiny of the soul where time will have been swallowed up in eternity. No wonder it is written: If ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth ac co rd ing to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear. Q1 Peter 1:17p - - A. V. Isbell lm I Wvowoelt Sam Shut up, I'm too busy. This statement was made by the wireless operator aboard the ship, Titantic, in 1912 in reply to a warning message before the fate of those who perished. The above statement is not indicative of the Annual Staff, nor does it reflect the con sen su s of the staff, In this space age the Annual Staff has given untiringly its time and service to the production of this, our 1962 Ram. The attitude of the Annual Staff reflects the general program of S ou thwe st ern Christian College of devoting time to each student individually in developing his God- given ta1611IS, and instilling in the students the importance of using time wisely. Time was, in pastg thou canst not it recall: Time is, thou hastg employ the por- tion small: Time future, is not and may neverbe: Time present, is the only time for thee. - - - Sigourney. - - Roosevelt Sams Em of Women: Wm. 710141, il- V' Pu-X 1,1 5, 4 742 li . -wrist.: -4 I-mu-.1 x H, , l Inasmuch as the Lord has blessed me in having the privilege of teaching in Southwestern Chris- tian College and of rearing my family on the campus, I know what Christian education means in the life of all young people at a time that they are entering their last formative years before adulthood.
