Good Conn ellor ....... Mrs. Dorthy B. Connelly Mrs. Dorothy B. Connelly, Supervisor of the Third Supervisory district, retired this year after a lifetime of service dedicated to the schools of Chautauqua County. Mrs. Connelly's experience encompassed all phases of education from the one-room rural school to the modern streamlined edifices of today, but her sound judgment and keen sense of humor helped her take every change in her stride. At a testimonial dinner, given in her honor at South- western on january 31, scores of those who had been friends and admirers of Mrs. Connelly's gathered from all over her district. They came to pay tribute, and recall dozens of incidents, often of a humorous nature, which will long remain warm memories of this fine woman both as a supervisor and as a friend. Perhaps one of the fondest memories of those at Southwestern will be the one concerning the fearless Mrs. Connelly and the weather. Like the United States mail, Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor night stayed the intrepid Mrs. C. from the swift completion of ap- pointed rounds.
