From the atmosphere created by our students and faculty the staff ofthe SOUTHWESTERN has chosen the theme Horizons Unlimited for the 20th anniversary of the annual. Students that go from this institution into the unlimited horizons of life will accomplish many achieve- ments. The annual staff this year has attempted to portray the varied fields, the many achievements, and the numerous accomplishments of our students at the present and in the future. Truly, the horizons are unlimited for the students of Southwestern Assemblies of God College. It is my greatest honor to pay tribute to our sponsor, Mrs. Anna Brazell, and the annual staff who gave their time and effort diligently to make this annual worthy of its 20th anniversary. May God bless and keep you. This annual now belongs to you to enioy and to cherish. Always set your goals high, and you will accomplish more than you ever dreamed of achieving. Sincerely, Qwvbdlfd Q Dedication As a symbol of our appreciation to you for your devotion and dedication to Southwestern and the Kingdom ot God, we proudly dedicate the 1964 SOUTHWEST- ERNER to REVEREND AND MRS. My soul astretch toward God's fair Paradise, And holy Iongings do my spirit fill To soar away into eternal skies. l fain would build a booth to Christ my King, Upon the summit of this Mount of Joy, Where raptures and sweet ecstasies upspring Where golden blessings have no base alloy. But I must take me to the vale below, Where brother-souls tread on the path of gloom, My duty lies where men of rue and woe See only the black portals ofthe tomb. And so l turn my steps far down the steep, And ioin with them who walk in sorrow's night, And thus the covenant with my God I keep, To lead men's souls into the Living Light. -William Burton McCafferty l ...those light-hearted hours inthe dorm. those special ucnvmes i . ...those crcmming sessions before finals ...those special momenfs. His memory will linger like the fragrant perfume of a tender flower, his services, friendship, poems, law, understanding, and knowledge will not be forgotten. He, like Paul of old, could say: l have fought a good fight, l have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Hence- forth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous iudge, shall give me at that day-and not to me only-but unto all them also thot love His appearing. -ll TimothyA4:7-8 .aqff 2 . . But his delight is in the law ofthe Lord, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season, his leaf also shall not wither and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the iuclgment, nor sinners in the congregation ot the righteous.
