His loving ser- vice for the Lord will always be a source of inspiration for us in our future lives and he will be remember- ed as a capable Dean of Men. MRS. S. A. BEAM We all appreciate the love and Christlike spirit that is shown through the life of Sister Beam as she fulfills her duties as Assistant Dean of Women. Her love for the Lord has been a great inspiration to all of us. GEORGE DOWNS Brother George, Assistant Dean of Men, has certainly meant much to the boys of S. B. I. We will always re- member him by his friendly spirit and understanding heart. GRACE DAVIS Sister Davis, a former member of Southwestern's Staff has returned after an absence of several months to fill the new position of Promotion- al Secretary in Brother Col1in's office. We are glad to have her back. FRANK THORPE As Supervisor of Maintenance, Brother Thorpe, has proven to be a key man on our staff. The improve- ments and upkeep of school facil- ities are evidence of his faithful service. 1 -vi if X Wi- rar. 3 DWIGHT PALSER A favorite of the student body is Dwight Palser, Assistant Dean of Men and Physical Education Instruct- or for the boys. She has been a true friend to us and we pray that God's richest blessings will be hers in the future. FAC U LT SELMA HARRISON Talent is great, but talent con- secrated to the Lord's service is much greater. B. I. a great service for which we are thankful to God. MAE DAVIS Her smiling face has brightened the day for many students. We thank the Lord for her consecration to Him and service for Him as she labors in the library. HAZEL HOLLIS As Secretary to President Collins she has proven to be an efficient, competent, and consecrated person. Her life has been a great blessing to the Southwestern students of 1949. EVE LYN MCGLOTHLIN Evelyn McGlothlin as Secretary to Dean Moore has added greatly to the already pleasant state of this office. To be friendly and helpful is ob- viously her greatest desire. She yet retains her beautiful voice for which she will long be remembered. ELAINE DAVIS Tireless in her duties and friendly in her services are characteristics that speak well of her position in the Book Store.
