PETERS, President of Southwestern Junior College This mid-century year is an appropriate time to take a retrospective view of the past, and a courageous forward look to the future! Southwestern Junior College has symbolized for fifty years and more a citadel for Christian youth! The humble buildings on the campus are silent testimonies in themselves of love and self-sacrificing devotion to the cause of Christian service. However, no school or enterprise can be content with the achievements of the past. Ours today is the task of not only living up to the fine traditions established by those who have gone before us but of pressing forward with that mighty challenge of a risen and soon coming Saviour, whom we name the Christ. May it be our happiness to know the pleasure of Commendation from One who in tenderness permits man additional time to understand God's love to work out his salvation!
