The ten finalists were, 1 to r, Dottie St. Clair, Phyllis Ring, Joann West, Bren- da Bertrand, Syra Beth Totty, Willyn Beken, Marilyn Psencik, Marilyn Turpin, Kita Hyatt and Pat Reynolds. Beaut Review PEDAGOG Editor, Peggy Lee, presented the All-College Beauty, Brenda Bertrand with her bouquet. l 26 The 1961 All-College Beauty was chosen in a review at Evans Auditorium by the PEDAGOG. Each class nominated five representatives. From these twenty the top ten were chosen, then the top five, and from the top five, the All-College Beauty. Brenda Bertrand was the unanimous choice of the judges, business men and women from Austin. This was the second year that Miss Bertrand had been awarded the honor of the most beautiful girl on campus. Each nominee modeled a skirt and sweater and loafers, and a formal. Each girl was interviewed on stage by the judges and was judged on state person- ality as well as beauty.
