Memorial To RICHARD DALE SULCER 1932-1970 In 1968 when STI first opened its doors to the new students, Richard stood among them. He had just been released from the Air Force, and he had a certain look of determination about him. While the school was still a fledgling, Richard contrib- uted ideas to the establishment of the Student Govern- ment Association. Not wanting the spotlight, Richard settled for Sophomore Class President. While everybody else was complaining, he laughed and then got the job done. Realizing the value of the art of communication, he helped to start the Toastmasters Club on STIM cam- pus. Besides all his school activities, Richard had family obligations, and he was active in community projects. We regret that Richard could not see how well his ef- forts have helped our school, and we dedicate all our ef- forts in making this yearbook to the memory of Richard Dale Sulcer.

LEON G. HARDISON The 1971 STIM-WINDER staff proudly announces the dedication of this year's annual to Mr. Leon G. Hardison, Division Head of the Re- lated Studies Program. Mr. Hardison has been here at State Tech since the school was opened in January of 1968. He has achieved popularity not only among his fellow educators, but also among the student body. He visually and verbally displays his excellence in education by instructing in the Frontline Management Course. Mr. Hardison very kindly accepted the responsibility of advising the year- book staff when, on two different occasions, the previous advisors were unable to fulfill their year's commitment. The future can only be rewarding for a man like Leon C. Hardison. We appreciate him. I s I ' f. nS'4mf v ' ' as'4lFi:?. W 7 '!'-... . I Q,
