! Miss Bond is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Bond of Magnolia. She attended Parklane Academy where she was a beau¬ ty, a band member and cutest. She is Pike County ' s Miss Hospitality, a stage band vocalist, and a member of the 1982-83 Azalea Court. Miss Bond is majoring in mu¬ sic—piano, vocal. Carter, a graduate of Valley Forge Acade¬ my, is the son of Don Carter of Greens- burg, LA. During his senior year in high school, Ken made the all-district, all-state and all-star football teams and was named Prep Star. He was also named to the all¬ district and all-state teams in baseball. A freshman wide receiver for the Bears, Carter plans to major in physical educa¬ tion. BEAUTIES

CAMPUS FAVORITES LYNN GOMEZ Lynn Gomez, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ruby R. Gomez of Baton Rouge, LA, is a gra¬ duate of Redemptorist High School where he received honors in football and was on the wrestling team. Gomez is a tackle on the Southwest football team and is majoring in accounting. LISA THORNTON Lisa Thornton is a graduate of Parklane Academy where she was a member of FBLA, National Honor Society and Pa¬ triotic American Youth. She was voted Miss Parklane, listed in Who’s Who Among American High School Stu¬ dents, homecoming queen and senior class reporter. At Southwest she is vice president of the sophomore class, cheerleader, was a freshman maid and a member of the Azalea Court. She was elected 1983 homecoming queen. Miss Thornton plans to attend the University of Mississippi Medical Center and con¬ tinue her major in dental hygiene.

F AND BEAUS Miss Burris is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Burris of Baker, LA. While attending Baker High School, she was a member of the dance corps, cheerleading squad, Mu- Sigma, F.C.A. and the DECA Club. Her ac¬ tivities at SMJC include vice president of the freshman class, freshman homecom¬ ing maid and football and basketball cheerleader. She plans to major in interior design. Price, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl W. Price of Summit, graduated from Parklane Acade¬ my. While at Parklane, Price was on the Parklane Pioneer football team. Price is a freshman defensive end for the Bears. 27
