On October 31 a benefit costume dance was held in the Student Union for Mr. Joe Smith. Sponsored by the Student Government Association, $139 was donated. Prizes were awarded for the best costumes. First place winners “Kiss” received $15 for their hard work. The second place winner, Ronnie Blailock, received $10 and Keith Fel¬ der, third place winner, won $5. Honorable mention went to “the Mafia” and “Mummy Man”. Above: 1st prize went to “Kiss” members Rick Starkey, Mark Sanders, Ruel Seneca, and Vernon Willie. Below: “Scarecrow” Brett Hughes and “Wonder Woman” Linda Newcomb dance to the disco music of Bubba Quin. Halloween Dance Above: “Wolfman” Ronnie Blailock was 2nd place winner. Below: Swinging Lisa Whittington is Keith Felder.

X- “Fill out this form please”, “Wait in that line”, “Don’t stand in the doorway”, “This won’t hurt a bit”, “Do you feel all right?” These phrases were heard on November 2 when SMJC students helped “Save a Life” for Pike Countians. There was a competition with Co-Lin Junior College to see who would have the most pints of blood donated to the Family Blood Assurance Program. The final score of this important day was 71-59 with SMJC the victors once again. And Health Fair Blood Donor Day
