Happy Days It was a wacky revival of hula hoops, ducktails, sock hops, the Marilyn Monroe look, rock ’n’ roll and Elvis. Stu¬ dents exclaimed “They’re playing our song!’’ to such hits as “Who put the bop in the bop sh-bop sh-bop, who put the ram in the ram a lam a ding dong?” November 2 was set aside to be the day of the past. Girls wore bobby socks, long skirts and red lipstick. Greasy hair and tattoos adorned un¬ recognizable boys. 1950’s Day was celebrated by the stu¬ dents who showed the most spirit to the Bears for their last football game. 50’s Day was truly a “Happy Day”. X- “Fill out this form please”, “Wait in that line”, “Don’t stand in the doorway”, “This won’t hurt a bit”, “Do you feel all right?” These phrases were heard on November 2 when SMJC students helped “Save a Life” for Pike Countians. There was a competition with Co-Lin Junior College to see who would have the most pints of blood donated to the Family Blood Assurance Program. The final score of this important day was 71-59 with SMJC the victors once again. And Health Fair Blood Donor Day
