Mr. Smith takes a break before going back to his job. Rita Ashley seems to have been very helpful the day pictures were made. Earl Hewitt. Mrs. Brister seems to be enjoying her coffee break. It is always easy to find a smiling face around Southwest’s campus. Being on a small campus, a student has the advantage of knowing almost everyone. 50’S DA Y Those were the good old days; everyone at SMJC thinks so anyway. On 50’s day, the campus looked as if someone had turned back the pages of time. The girls were decked out in long skirts, bobby socks, and red lipstick. The boys wore rolled-up blue jeans, T- shirts, tattoos, sun-glasses, and slicked-back hair. They even listened to American Graffiti tapes at lunch. Top: Libby Wallace, Laurie Albritton, and Richard Hurtt enjoy a game of cards.
