Dedication As librarian of Southwest Mississippi Junior College, Mrs. Verna Martin has been a leader in her field of work. Faithfully maintaining in the library the high¬ est standards of scholarship, she leads rather than drives students to serious thought and study. In addition to her fidelity to her duties as librarian, Mrs. Martin ' s high ideals and efforts have been an inspiration to students and to all others coming under her influence. To her, as an expression of esteem and as a recognition of her valuable ser¬ vice to our junior college, this book is respectfully dedicated.
