From The President 1962 The Sophomore Class of 1962 Southwest Mississippi Junior College Summit, Mississippi Dear Sophomores! Your completion of two years of college work is a commendable accomplishment. You have earned at least sixty-four hours of academic credit, a jEeat of considerable significance in our day of heightened standards and in¬ creased competition. The completion of degree require¬ ments is now easily within your reach; we hope that you will continue your formal education. But you have derived other benefits in these two years. We believe that you have added the dimensions of social effectiveness and athletic versatility. The years ahead should find you making adjustments more easily and spending your leisure time more pleasantly. Above all, we hope that you have deepened your vision of God and Right and that as you leave us, you will walk in the way of Spirit and Truth. Will you accept these words from Milton as our parting wish?
