Homecoming activities forgotten for freshman day were soon remembered as we held our 42nd Annual Homecoming on October 22, 1960. Activities began with an open house of both dormitories. Long awaited by the students at S.M.J.C. Girls went through the boys dormitory and vice versa. At 2:00 p. m. we held our homecom¬ ing parade through McComb and Sum¬ mit. We honored our lovely queen and court during this parade. Liberty and Gloster bands both came to make our day a success. An alumni banquet was held at 6:00 p. m. and the alumnus was invited as well as the Sophomores. However we could hardly sit still as we waited for 7:30 p. m. The evening activities finally got un¬ derway with a special pre-game perfor¬ mance by the S.M.J.C., Gloster and Liberty High School bands. And at 8:00 p. m. the game started with the Holmes Bulldogs. The celebration was climaxed by the coronation ceremonies at half time where Robbie Clark was crowned queen. But the day isn ' t over as we go to the barn for our homecoming dance. 5

Darry, what is a Beatnik? Prexy welcomes Saint Nick to campus. Butch are you really bowlegged? loween, and for Halloween the B.S.U. sponsored by Rodney Ellis gave a Beatnik play in the barn for all students. Games were played and refreshments were served to a big crowd. Awards were given the Beatnikest Beatnik. And local talent was exploited. November came and went and after the Thanks¬ giving holidays we began to look forward to Christ¬ mas and Santa Claus.
