Many hours spent in the compiling of this, the 1958 edition of the “Whispering Pines,” were exciting and enjoyable. We have tried to make an annual that in years to come will bring back many treasured memories. The cooperation of the faculty and students will long be remembered. To those who played a big part in the publication, the advertising staff who worked hard; to our photographers, Mr. John Balser, Mr. John Williams and A. A. Gautreaux; to Mr. Huddleston for his cooperation; to our sponsor, Mrs. Ophelia Lindley for her guidance and inspiration; to the Enterprise-Journal for suggestions and com¬ ments that have helped our annual to be better—To all of these I sincerely thank you. Editor—Sherman Shores. t
