The Student Christian Council was organized under the direction of Rev. Hugh McRainey, Bible instructor and pastor of the Summit Methodist Church. Its main officers were elected by the student body and all student organizations have a representative on this council. Its purpose is to promote a Christian influence in all student activities on the campus, and to correlate the religious programs of all denominational groups. Its main purpose is to guide the individual toward the quest for a high concept of religion and its prac¬ tical application to daily living. Among the many jobs assigned the council members are the planning of parties, the securing of guest speakers, and the planning of religious services.
