Bij The French Club, tentatively known as the Le Cerole Francois , is a group composed of students studying French culture and history. The organization has its own study and social groups. It meets twice each month, under the direction of Miss Lona Burns.

i jf l (J ' u Southwest’s Initial Art Club, under the direction of Roy Schultz, Jr. with Mrs. J. E. Magee as sponsor, was formulated in 1951. This club has done much to stimulate interest in all types of creative work. The art exhibits which the club has sponsored have accomplished much in this direction. Several members of this club are affiliated with the New Orleans Art Association. The Art Club has contributed several paintings for exhibition at the Issac Del¬ gado Museum of New Orleans, Louisiana and at the Municipal Art Gallery in Jackson, Mississippi. Active members of the Art Club are: Ruth Atkinson, Bess Dawson, Sadie Jack- son, Blanche Monfourt, Wilmuth Page, Elizabeth Wardlaw, Ella Jane Clark, and Laura Jean Magee. a
