As the au- dience at the Fling sat anxiously awaiting the decisions, the answers were already sealed in the envelope. The student body at Southwest had, once again, selected its Homecoming Court. And so the time had arrived. After many weeks of waiting, the king and queen were being announced. Nor- ma Ledesma and David Still would reign royally over the 1983 Home- coming festivities along with fifteen other princes and princesses. Homecoming Week Homecoming Week was one of the most spirited times of the year. Stu- dents kept busy with various activi- ties and cheered us on to victory. Starting with Clash Day, followed by Dress-Up Day, Punk Day, Geek Day, and ending with Purple and White Day, students celebrated and took part in the festivities. Seniors relished in their own pep rally, where skits were performed and songs were sung. Classes celebrated by decorating their homerooms with posters, crepe paper, and balloons. And then there was the game . . . our memorable win against the Sun- set Knights. It was a great way to end this year's football season.
