The Lincoln-Douglas debate, dra- matic interpretation, and humorous interpretation were just some of the types of debates which were studied by these novices. The techniques of arguing sensibly and ways to ap- proach an audience were also taught. The goal of this class was to help students think logically, and many of these individuals achieved this goal. The production of the 1983-84 Aquila would not have been possible without the 40 hardworking stu- dents divided into two yearbook classes. These students spent time each day typing, cropping pictures, writing and rewriting copy in order to perfect the yearbook. Under the supervision of Ms. Deb- bie Lichtman, the yearbook staff, along with editors Adis Riveron, Bonnie Waldman, and Dean Hale could not fail in their objective to make the Aquila the best yearbook ever published in Southwest history. We hope you enjoy it! ACTIVITIES! 7 Y
