Boys' Soccer Tivfboys'soccertearn,coached by Iflir. Leo Madrigal, showed great teamwork and effort which aided them in winning many games this year. The starting players on defense were: Alex Guerrero, Ivan Alzate, Henry Marambio. and Jose Balerdi. The midfielders were: Mark Soeder, Marcelo Munoz, and Carlos Lacayo. The forwards were: Enrique Castano, Vladimir Castro. and Carlos Arana. The team improved at every game, especially the tough ones. Girls' Soccer The girls' soccer team ended this year's season with a record of 1-8. The victory was against Homestead Sr. High. The unfortunate losses were against good, strong teanxs. Two year head coach, Angel Meil- endez, directed and encouraged the girls to play their best. Captains Amor Sierra and Lucy Zed the team and set the example cl striving for excellence. Practicing each day from 2:30- 5:30 strengthened each girl and pre- pared her for the endurance and skill that was needed in order to play the fast-moving sport of soccer.
