2 Q 45 Shelly Kaufman parties with Pep Club. 'T' 1 Spirited Bunch With much enthusiasm and a lot of spirit, the 1983-84 Pep Club had an exciting and busy year. Its main purpose was to attend the school's sporting events and provide support. At every football game, Pep Club showed off our purple and white col- ors with pride and led the crowd with cheers. Besides yelling at the sporting events, the members also participat- ed in many community projects. First year sponsor, Ms. Touzet, en- joyed working with the club and X '. fff. 'f 3 K... 5' KN. ML' Helen, Chris, f kept the group enthusiastic. . 'Yi Q . .ew Tri-M officers include: Vera Kraushaar, secretary: Octavio Campos, treasurer: Elaine Rinaldi, vice-presidentg and Tom Miller, president. Tom Miller prepares for the Fall's concert. Music Masters. Tri-M is designed to coordinate the special talents of vocal and in- strumental musicians. At South- west, this honor society provides an understanding and appreciation for all types of music in our school and community. It is a synthesis of musical talent and understanding. Past projects of Tri-M included the touring of Christmas tree stands to raise money for S.C.O.R.E. QSpecial Concerts Offering Recreation and Educationl, performing a Christmas Concert at the Falls, and providing music for special school functions. Tri-M provided a sense of purple pride for the spirit and music that Southwest is so fortunate to have. 20 BXCLUBS Tri-M members include: V. Kraushaar, M. Lamberty, B. Alexandre, M. McCarthy, L. Sedelnik, O. Campos, M. Zambrana, P. Polster, E. Suiter, L. Havens, and T. Miller. Octavio Campos and Lisa Sedelnik practice their clarinets together. ii Tri-M members perform a concert at the Falls in conjunction with S.C.O.R.E.
